The AKA (Association of Ki Aikido) is an organisation dedicated to the practice and promotion of Ki aikido. The organisation, while independent, has the full backing of the Amateur Martial Arts Association (a national registration body covering a variety of martial arts).

The Kilburn dojo was founded in 1986 and has remained at Charteris Sports centre ever since, surviving aerobics, step aerobics and more recently boxercise. The main sensei, Charles Harris took over the class in 1989. He has been practising for over twenty years and is now 5th Dan (black belt). The dojo has several other Dan grades who assist in teaching.

  • Charles Harris - 5th Dan (Main Instructor)
  • Ian Hurst, Patrick O'Leary - 4th Dan
  • Tim Gray, Mike Priaulx - 2nd Dan
  • Mike Ford, Jacquelin Stevens, Kevin Buck, Tom Roberts, Ben Talbort - 1st Dan
